Digital Customer Experience
at Coop Danmark
From 2017 to 2019 I have been working in the department Digital Customer Experience in Coop Danmark. Coop is a Danish retail company with a market share in Denmark of 38 %, owning a chain of shops, such as SuperBrugsen, Dagli'Brugsen, Irma, Fakta and Kvickly. My team and I have been focusing on designing the future of grocery shopping, thus creating and optimizing the digital service experiences for the customers of Coop. During the period of two years, I have been working with different areas of design: User testing, wireframing, concept development, final design, running co-design workshops, and participated in design sprints. In general, my work have been focusing on giving the customers a say in the design process to ensure that the services we developed also fulfilled their needs and not only the businesses goals.

My work have varied from analogue sketching of wireframes and digitalizing prototypes in Proto.io, to creating user journeys in Adobe Illustrator and modifying final design in Sketch. Thus, I have been developing new and practising current design skills.
I would like to highlight a co-design workshop my team and I held a the beginning of 2019. Together with customers, we designed the future of digital discounts. The workshop consisted of activities focusing on prioritization of values, and generating new ideas. Due to business confidentialities, I cannot get into detail with the outcomes of the workshop. However, in general, it taught me that customers themselves h of different ideas for future solutions, that the team and I ourselves would have taken for granted or simply would not be aware of.

The Coop app holds different service features, such as mobile payment, personalized offers, food inspiration and digital receipts. Therefore, I have been working a lot of various projects during the period of two years, focusing on different aspects of grocery shopping. In the video below, you can watch a glimpse of the features in the Coop app:
The department Digital Customer Experience is located at an old farm in Albertslund. Even though the department from an organizational perspective is a part of the Coop's headquarters, it is located externally in order to support an innovation space on the premise of the users and customers. Of course, later to be validated with the business goals and financials.
